I would stay in the 40 series and 225 or 235. Makes the rims look bigger

That's what I've got. Now, I wish I'd gone with 225's.

205/40/17's are ok if you have a Honduh. Get some real girth for your real car. I'd go with some 235/40s with the 7.5 wide rims. With a 205/40 your speedo will be off by alot too.

i have 225/45 on my car and love them. i would highly suggest these for your car. Most manufactures don't go below this sidewall height(svt focus, m3) because they will run into more bent rims.

I had 245/45/17 Michelin MMXX on on mine and there was no problem cept it grabbed the road like a SOB!

Have 225/45/17 now and they are Kuhmo 712's don't grab as hard though!

Not A Good Idea

I had 205/40/17 for a long time. I bought my current 235/45/17 Dayton ZR's after I blew out like 3 of those other tires on pothole on the highway. The Max is just to heavy for them. Now my ride is alot better and so is my look. Get the bigger tires. You will thank us.
