Product Review - Meguiars Scratch X Light scratch and swirl remover

This is the stuff that comes in a little black Tube. I have three scratches down my hood from a rock that got in the wash sponge when I was washing and scratched my car. the scratches were not real deep, just in the clear-coat. I also have scratches on the rear bumper where it looks like the dealership backed my car into a concrete wall the last time it was in for service. I hate taking it to dealers. It also looks like they didn't cover the fender when working under the hood and their belt buckle added nice scratches into the paint. Tell me again why we are supposed to take our cars to the "Nissan Experts"?

This stuf goes on like wax does, just squeeze onto spong and apply. I did real thick coats on the hood and rear bumber, taking time to rub it into the scratch areas real good.

It buffs off real easy (easier than wax). I buffed real good and it came out great. The damage on the bumper is almost invisable and on the hood, you really have to look hard for the scratches. I can only see faint lines if I move around and hit the light just right. The fender scratches are not there. I can't see them at all.

It also made the paint look real even. it seemed to give the paint a real nice solid look instead of what it looked like before (crap).

Anyhoo, it only costs a ferw bucks and I would recommend this to anyone with small scratches on the car.

Worked pretty good...

But only lasted 2 washes. Not that I expected much more. It's really quick and easy to use. Make sure you wax the spot where you used it afterward.
A good product if you have a few small areas with light scratches. Just reapply it every few weeks.

I suppose for convenience, no other reason. If a person spends 4 hours fixing his own car, that's 4 hours he can't use to remodel the kitchen or finish the basement, fix-up the garden, mow the lawn, etc.

I've always had good luck with Meguiars cleaner/polish. Everytime some son of a ***** hits my door, I can usually get his paint out of my car with the cleaner. Works well and leaves a wax finish behind.
