Ah! Max wont start. Need help ASAP!!!

So a guy is coming to hopfully buy my car tomorrow and the damn thing wont start. I am at college so my mom is having to take care of all this, which makes matters worse. She said she had trouble starting, and thought it was the battery, so she went to go buy a new one. The battery guys said it was fine. When she tried to drive it home, it woudlnt start. They had to push it, and start it like that. She drove to the mechnaic i always go to. SHe called me from there. I remember last year something like this happened, and all i had to do was put the key in the accesory postion for a minute then start it. Last year it worked fine. I had her try that and it didnt work. So now max is sitting at the machenics and they arent even sure if they will get to it today. That ****es me off more cuz the guy is coming tomorrow!!! Does anyone have any ideas?? The radio and stuff all works fine.. i have no idea what this could be?!

Its a 96 SE, if thats not in my sig.

If the problem has been occuring for a while and all you hear is a *click click* sound then that means the wire connections are bad. In your haste case, hopefully it's just the starter and u can get that replaced in a day or so. good luck.

No, this is the first time this has ever happened.

I was having a similar problem. It turns out my ignition switch went bad. I had to replace it. What sucks even worse is now I have 1 key for the ignition and 1 key for the doors.

Dude, you are so RIGHT!!!

Yes.

My car didn't start and at "ON" position, I heard click click click noise.

So I proceeded doing my 60K tune up plus changing battery, alternator, and starter.

But no no, those Autoparts people are very duuuummmbbb. I ended up taking those suckers back and getting refund.

I had to have it towed to mechanics and they fixed a negative ground wire and rebuilt my friggin' inhibitor relay

Cost:
$1 part
$209 labor
$50 towing

$0 me working my butt off for 50+ hours of burning midnight oil and my max sitting in garage for close to 3 months!!!!
