breaks squeek first couple minutes, then are fine...anyone know why??

I have brembo dimplled/slotted zinc coated rotors which are 2months old...after about a month after I got the rotors & new Nissan Oem pads...when I would start driving the car afer its been parked for a while(like overnight) the breaks squeeked for a short time (like 2 street blocks) and then are very quiet.

I see some rusting occuring on these rotors every morning as well... can it be that the rusting is causing the squeek and then after the pads shave off the rust it stopps squeeking??

anything i can do for this problem??

I've got the same setup as you and I have the same squeeking. I think it's just the rust buildup.

what i was thinking.
spray some water on the rotors..WHEN THEY ARE COMPLETELY COOLED..and then let them dry. NOtice how quickly rust will develop. Your first braking should be real noisy until the rust is all cleaned off.
You can't help the rusting unless you have a humidity controlled garage or something ridiculous like that

oh really?
But if they're zinc coated, they shouldn't rust??
Does this happen to you during summer also?

The pads wear through the zinc coating eventually.

I don't think its the rust on the rotors. My car has been parked outside all its life and the only time my brakes ever squeaked was when the stock shims were not used with the anti-squeal goo (a copper based grease).

That's funny...my brakes have the exact opposite problem. They are quiet for the first few blocks but then after they heat up I guess they start squealing. What's going on here?

i have the same problem with different pads/rotors, it usually only happens until the car has warmed up, then it's fine. Also, i only noticed the rust happening once i got rim cleaner on them, before that they were nice and shiny and fine.
