my stock clock is dead , is there a place or way that could fix it, the dealer wants 265 for a new one. junk yards want 80, they are all sick , Any one knows where to get one for cheap or fix it

man that's expensive.. mine died too. Actually, mine resets itself and goes out for a while then comes back.

I personally think you could probably fit a battery powered clock in that opening. It would be hard to find a cool one that fits.

 

mine sometimes does the same thing reset, when i first bought the car the clock didnt work then 2 months later out of nowhere it can on for about ten minutes then died again, every once in a while usually when i start my car it would come on then die out again, lately it hasnt came on at all

that would be nice to fit try and find a battery powered clock that fits, if i find one i will let you know , but i still prefer the stock

 

I was installing my stereo and i don't really see how the clock would be screwed up. It can easily be fixed by an electician for under $80 probably. I think it probably has to do with the wiring. I have my clock unplugged, but after i finish installing some cables for my laptop i'll plug that sucker back in and clean up the wiring harness for the clock. You should try opening it up and checking for torn wires.

If you bought your car used like i did with mine, there's a good chance that it had an aftermarket stereo or didn't have the stock stereo so they had to take everything apart to put it in. During this they might've pulled that console too hard without bothering to disconnect it.

 

i hate to tell ya.... but the clock dies once and then its gone. when it resets, its just havin little heartattacks, its almost gone. u actually have to fork over the big bucks if u want a new one. i just bought a $20 clock and velcroed it to the opening and took out the old clock. it happens to everyone eventually

 

AAAAAAAAAH ALL OF YOU ALL ARE WRONG,

there s a fuse that powers that stock clock replace the fuse. And your clock should come back to life. My clock did not work either when the car was brand new and took it back to the dealer and they just popped a new fuse and it came right on with some ding ding noise.

 

the fuse for the clock is fine, i also took it apart and did not notice no bad connections or bad wires

 

If this happened to me, I would go to walmart and buy something nicer than the stock clock (no pun intended)

Or get that expensive CD player flipping everywhere with multicolored clock display!!!

 

You didnt post that you had checked the fuse so thats why I posted that. Is messed up then

 

Is this a common thing with nissan? My dad's 3rd gen did the same thing... It kept coming on occasionally when it wanted to until it finally died.

 

it would be cool if you could somehow integrate a Q45 analog clock into the center console.

 

my car is about to be junked. If you only need to exchange the clock and that will fix the problem without touching wires then i can trade you with mine. My car being junked. Not looking for money just trying to help people out. Only thing is that you have to come do it yourself. Hopefully you live in or near new jersey?
