Hello to all. The last two times i got gas in my Max i would be pumping the gas and it would click off after every 2 gallons like it was full or something. It really bugs me cause it takes like 10-15 mintues to get gas now. I was wondering if anyone has had a previous experience or not. Also, I have a check engine light but haven't had time to pull the codes yet, could the CEL have something to do with my slow fuel filling problem? Thanks in advance.

 

Gas pumps are designed to stop when the pressure builds up in your tank. If you're pump is stopping prematurely, either that pump is broken, or you've got the thing jammed in there to far. Try pulling it out just a little bit to allow some air to get out as you're pumping.

This has nothing to do with your SES light. Pull the codes and see what's wrong.
