The Frankencar Midpipe is in(PICS)

Well after a two month wait and well worth it, i finally put in the mid pipe. And i must say the low end is back and the sound is ten times better. The only problem is on my first trip around the block i proceeded to burn my clutch and now im going to need a new one. At least now i know what a burnt clutch smells like.

This is not a problem my friend, since you told me once your stock clutch burns out, you will get a ACT Clutch, Stage ??? You will be alot better off...I don't know, but congrats on the mid-pipe, your MAXIMA keeps on getting more unbelievable everytime i see it...but as always, can't wait to see(especially the pimped out chrome ebrake and shift ****) and hear it ...Can't wait to get together brotha...

Interesting... first 5 speed that found an actual difference w/ the midpipe in lol. Or probably not first.... maybe it's jsut me. Did you already have a cone? Did you just order the midpipe?

I had a cone already in my car and w/ the stock resonator out and the mipipe in.. all it did was kinda even out the sound (no increase, feels like sound was kinda dampened). Good to hear u had better luck w/ it tho!

i had the cone and when that was in the car felt slugish in the low end, but with the midpipe if felt like it pushed alittle better down low. Ill have to play with it some more once i get me new clutch in.

Butt dynoed?

Well everytime I butt dyno my bro's 300ZX low rider, it feels fast but it's not.

Like going 40 mph feels like 65 mph

But what the heck, if it "feels" faster, then it "is" fast. I'm getting frankencar soon too and hope I "feel" that enormous sound well worth 100 HP gain

And that means when I get my y pipe, behold, 400 HP at the wheels, stock tranny, stock engine, and stock driver

my butt dyno does me well.

even if there are no gains, the sound alone is worht it.

Re: Re: Butt dynoed?

If you're looking for an ACT clutch I found a deal through import horizon for $308 shipped. Maybe they'll knock down some more if we buy in quantity. I think I'm going to order one, though I have no clutch problems...it's just a good deal.
