new transmission?!

My transmission is slipping, I have a guy who will remove the old one and install a new one for $200cdn, and i think i found a used one for $350cdn, I realize that this is pretty reasonable, do you think I should be able to find a tranny for any cheaper? or is this as good as it gets?

That's as good as it gets! Unless of course the tranny you are getting is worse than your current tranny...then you are out $550 and back to square one!
