ATTENTION PIONEER AVX-P7300 DVD on sale!

a while ago you guys were asking about the clarion dvd units on a group buy. a lot of you decided they were a little too much at 1375 after you were told by someone they could get them for 900.
i just recently got wind of some pioneer AVX-P7300DVD units for 950.00. they are reconditioned but still retain the factory warranty of the new units. if price is an issue maybe this will be another alternative for you guys that were getting excited about the impossible price of the clarion units that the guy was offering and backed out of.
i dont know how many are in stock but this is already a low price. if you guys want a group buy and there is some interest i can see if i can get a better deal.

you can email me at bassmechanic@adelphia.net

as for reconditioned i cant say exactly what they were reconditioned for but they have been repaired and brough tto the manufacturers specifications.
sometimes refurbished stuff is actually brand new but is overstock they just want to get rid of for new models.

the warranty i can offer you is not a full manufacturers warranty but i will try to explain how warranty repairs and returns work.

the manufacturer sells to a distrubuter or dealer that then in turn sells at dealer cost to the retail stores. people selling caraudio online are USUALLY actually nothing more than distrubuters or dealers that have found that using the internet to their advantage they can and do move more product then they could is they only sold to just retail stores. by moving more product per quarter they get additional discounts from the manufacturer because of the dollar amount of product they are able to process in any given quarter.

Now, if a retail store has sold somthing to a customer and they have problems with it the defective item goes back down the chain to the distrubuter that in turn returns the item to the manufacturer where they got it. the manufacturer then will repair or replace the item because as far as they know the item was sold to a retail customer. they have no reason to belive that their distrubuters are selling online. they probly suspect it but unless they can prove it it is usually not good business to go accusing people of it.

so if you return somthing to me that is defective it will go to the same people that are already distrubuters. the same people that already process warranty items.
so taking care of a warranty is usually no problem if the person you got it from is willing to bend the rules a little. i know for a fact that with the thousands of dollars worth of product i have bought from my distrubuters if i have somthing defective to return they will take care of it.

you have to remember when you buy online at 50% off the retail price and from a source that is not an authorized dealer you give up your warranty. there is ABSOLUTLY no one that can offer you a full blown manufacturers warranty on items that are not purchased through an authorized reseller or distrubuter.
you guys that shop online need to understand that by buying online and getting discounts is against ANY manufacturers policies. some manufacturers like JL audio actually trace serial numbers by buying their own equipment from online and unauthorized sources to determin which of their distrubuters is violating their contract.

im telling you this because i think you all should be thankfull that these types of deals exist on the internet. eventually distrubuters that contunue to sell online will loose the the entire product line from any manufacturer if they get caught selling online.

so, that having been said. i can take care of any defective equipment if you get it and it is damaged due to manufacturers defects by returning it to my distrubuter for the first 14 days after you get it. but if you think anyone is going to honer a warranty at these prices think again!
the old saying comes to mind.. "beggers can't be choosers" in other words your getting a huge discount You can't have your cake and eat it too!!

here is a copy of the return policy of my distrubuter.

No returns will be accepted without prior authorization. To request a Return Authorization Number for any warranty product. In the first 14 days returns can be for replacement, refund, or merchandise credit. Shipping charges are not refundable. All items must be shipped freight prepaid and double-boxed.
All warranty items will be returned freight prepaid. A copy of the invoice must be included with all returns for credit and will be subject to a restocking fee of 15%, minus shipping and handling. Merchandise must be in "new" or "like-new" condition. Returns will be credited at the price paid on the invoice (less any restocking fee). If no invoice/receipt is included with the return, we will issue credit at the current selling price or the price at the time of sale, whichever is lower. All items must be returned complete and with all original parts/documentation. Any missing parts or damaged packaging will be deducted from amount credited. Items returned with missing accessories (i.e. remote controls, wire harnesses, etc.) are subject to a charge for the replacement of these missing items. Items returned physically or cosmetically abused will not be accepted for credit. If defective, product will be repaired and returned in the same cosmetic condition in which it was received by us.

Abuse and/or Installation Error:
we define abuse as, but not limited to, burnt voice coils (blackened, no continuity, melted adhesives, coil separated from the former, etc.) punctured or damaged surrounds, broken speaker terminals, non-PPI modifications, bent, chipped or broken frames, ripped spiders or damaged back plates. Speakers submitted with any of the above will be considered out of warranty. we shall not be held liable for incidental loss of use, installation or removal and reinstallation charges associated with defective or returned product. Products that have been improperly installed may not be covered by this or any other warranty. We highly recommend having all car stereo equipment professionally installed. All returns, exchanges and refunds are processed immediately upon receipt. Please allow 2 weeks from the time you return your item for your refund or exchange to arrive. If paid by credit card, please allow 2 billing cycles for your credit to appear on your statement.

Great Price......BUT you still have to buy the AVM which is the brain to operate that unit and that will run you a few more hundred dollars. So yes you can get the screen and radio unit but it won't work for $950.

You don't need the brain, as long as if you have a Pioneer headunit, thru the IP bus port that is if your Pioneer headunit is equiped with the ip bus port, that is what i did with my Pioneer AVX-P7300. To see if you have a Pioneer headunit with a IP bus port, you can look at the model number you have. If it has a P in it you should have a ip bus port. For example with my headunit, DEH-P4300. The "P" stands for the IP bus port. Hope this will help some people about getting this awsome DVD player.

i also had a few ppl e-mail me about the AVX-P7300DVD. the best price i got was $1,275 NEW (not reconditioned) without a group deal. $900 is not a bad price, if you don't mind having a reconditioned unit. you guys would be saving about $325.

Check here for NEW $1,109.99:

I didn't think you needed the brain or even an IP-BUS headunit, but I'd DEFINITELY pay the extra $230 and get the AVH-P7480DVD for the added features:
