Ventshades...Ricey or not Ricey.

i'm thinking about getting the ventshades from weathertech.they are difinetely useful up here in the NE for the fall rain and winter. my only dilemma is whether they are going to look cheesy or not.. i mean, they are not bubbly looking and not so dark if you don't have tinted windows. they don't double-stick-side tape up along the window frame, they go inside the window channel, making it very streamline to the window. i just don't want to get them and have people look at my MAX like it's all ghettoed out.. i like class not rice. plus they are a hundred bucks shipped.
thank you for any feed-back.... E.P.

The idea is great, cause I hate having the rain drip in my open window. The water usually lands on the window/lock switches on my armrest. I hate that!! But most are not the best looking accessory...Sounds like yours are a more streamlined design? They do look better on a dark color, though, cause they're less noticable. I've thought of getting some, but haven't, yet.

I love them on some cars, hate them on others.

My stepmother has them on her Legacy GT, and they look great. Haven't seen them on a Maxima before thought. Regardless, I don't think "Ricey" would describe them. Maybe cheesy thought...

Ricers wouldn't be caught dead with those, so they can't be considered "ricey". They are flat out stupid looking.

I had them on my car and loved them.

I'm not getting on any of you its just kinda funny to me to see that.

For those of you that live in hot place (Arizona especially!). Of course you'll never understand and call them rice. But here in Oregon, it rains 8 months out of the year, it's extremely useful. I had mine for a little while but then the double sided tape started to come lose, but will put them back on for winter again. Check my homepage, I got pics with or w/o the ventshade on.

All you people saying negative things about them don't know what you're talking about. They don't look out of place at all, and they are VERY usefull. I've seen very few cars with them, and I don't see any possible way they can be considered rice.

Here's a pic of mine

I live in AZ and I love em cuz I can leave all my windows cracked in the summer and it keeps the car sooooo much cooler. They dont look bad on my car at all IMO.

i dont think you should base 100% of your decision on whether other people like it, unless you are looking to impress others and not yourself

I've had the Vent Visors from CustomMaxima.com on my car now for almost 6 months. They are great especially in the summer and when it rains. They are not "ricey" at all, some of the people that said that they were have items on their cars that I would consider to be "rice."

I like them a lot except on the 2k1's the visors go right on top of the chrome that goes around the windows which sucks b/c I think the chrome looks nice. These WeatherFlectors go inside the window sills and don't use any tape or anything, they're just wedged into the sills. So i'm thinking about removing my Vent Visors and getting these WeatherFlectors a short while after. I just need to figure out how to remove the Vent Visors without ruining the chrome around the windows
