Red lights in door switches!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pics too)
I am the man! Ha ha!
Ok, anyway, I switched the lights in my door mounted window switches from green to red. Why, to match my red guage lights of course.
Once you pry out the switch assembly and take it apart, you come up with a circuit board with a little green LED perched in a little mount like this::

I just un-soldered the leads from the back of the board and bent my red LED to fit in the same holes, like this::

The driver door is a little different, there are no little holders. The LEDs are on their own seperate circuit borad. But they go in and out the same way.

Now the little button lights up red too.
I apologize for the ****ty pics. Also, the LEDs do have a positive and negative side, so mount them just like the old ones were. I used LEDs from Radio shack, Cat. No. 276-026A
They come in packs of two and you will need one for each passenger door and six for the driver door, so 9 in total.
