off today in NJ trying to wash my new Max. I went to one of those do it yourself places to get the road salt off. I know its probably not good for the car, but figured it was better than it getting eaten up by the salt. Anyway, I sprayed the soapy water on and before I could rinse it off, it turned to ice. I rinsed it from top to bottom and then most of the water ran off. I then took it out on the hiway to blow the rest off before it froze. It was cold as hell here today. I know, who gives a ****, I guess I'm a little bored.

This is going to sound strange, but believe me it works good to keep your hands from getting cold. Go to the grocery store and get some rubber dish washing gloves. Keeps your hands dry, so the cold won't bother them quite as much.

Agreed.. I always use those thick rubber gloves you would use when washing the floor... etc... the rubber insulates a bit, but what really matters is that you don't get water on your hands.. (water freezes faster than your HAND, and evaporative cooling plays a big part)..

Yeah, I always use the yellow rubber gloves when I wash my car, and then I put on disposable latex gloves to put the wet look onto the tires.
