took it apart and now i know how it works but i am left with a plastic piece, funny looking white piece, and a spring, cannot put back together. any advice or solutions will be greatly appreciated

 

it's the assembly that allows the ash tray to spring open... it'll take time but you can reassemble it...
I've never had it come apart on me, though... Manhandled it too much, eh?

 

i think that it must of springed off while in the compartment, causing it to stick instead of flowing freely, i guess i also need to know if i have all of the parts cause it seems as though i am missing a piece.
