I have a 86 maxima and a 84 300ZX turbo anniversary edition....I'm looking at getting a 300ZX turbo parts car so i can put a 5speed into my Z. after this, I'll have an extra turbo, and i'm wondering how hard is it to put the turbo on the maxima, there both VG30E engines, so I know it can be done, and i've seen many non turbo Z's go to turbo, but will being front drive pose a problem?? has anyone done this before?? I just think it would be awsome to have a 200hp+ 2nd gen maxima to go with my Z.

 

If you can swap the turbo in the Z, you can do it in the maxima. Do a search on "turbo and maxima" in this forum to find all the info you need.

 

As mentioned above, you will find a lot of useful information on the forum, however, I found that a lot of it was simply speculation. With that in mind, I embarked on the swap myself and am smack-dab in the middle of it. Ok yes you can the diffeence is you have to change the manifold, ecu and the fuel pump to reach stock boost
