Chrome Door Sills from anniv to 4th gen

I wanted to get some chrome door sills for my 4th gen max, and saw the ones for sale on CustomMax but they are for the anniversary edition Max. I wonder what the difference is, if there is a size difference. Did anyone by any chance purchase them for their 4th gens that actually fit without any problems?

If you don't mind they saying "Infiniti" on them, you can get the 1999 I30 door sills at the Infiniti dealership. Direct bolt on with OEM quailty and fit.

I make door sills for 4th gens. Normally out of brushed aluminum, but we can do chrome. I'll have pics up very shortly.

Hey, keep us posted on the chrome door sills. I'd be interested in purchasing a set, especially with maybe a vinyl decal on top

Drop me an email when they're finished, and the price. Thanks.

You can paint them. I have no idea how it looks, I know a few of our customers have painted their aluminum dash kits so it's possible.

What color are you going for?

Are these attach by double sided tape? If so wouldn't that make the door still stick up a little? or do you have grooves on the back to match the stock door stills? Also, how thick or thin are these pieces? Last question...Is the price for all four pieces?

WARNING!!

Do not get the aluminum door sills from custom max. They SUCK! I ordered them a couple weeks ago and when I got them they looked and were cheap as hell! When I got them they were already bent and the cheap *** MAXIMA decals were ripped on them. The were extremely thin with three small pieces of double sided tape slapped on them. When my friend lightly ran his fingernail on them they scratched so easily. I immeditely sent them an e-mail and sent them back. I mean I'm not paying $95 dollars for that piece of crap when I can get so many other better things for my car with that money. They e-mailed me back saying they were sorry for my disappointment and having problems from the company they've been getting them from and want to change to another supplier. So I got store credit and bought a rear sway bar which I just got today. Can't wait to install it

Would anyone suggest getting the Momo door sills?

Re: WARNING!!

Do you even have any idea what you're talking about? What you're referring to is door inserts. And we make those for Custommaxima too. We had a bad run of them, hence your problems. The current tally is something like 357 sets of door inserts sold and we've had like maybe 10 problems with quality control, the vast majority of the people are very happy with them. If they were bent, and scratched, that's something to do with shipping damage and not a problem with the product. We make them any thicker and they wouldn't fit in the recessed area of your door.

The door sills are totally different items. They are fully backed with 3M tape because it doesn't sit in a recessed area. The logos are silkscreened on, by the time you scratch the silkscreening, the metal is damaged.

MOMO door sills install the same way ours do, but they're universal and won't fit as well.

They are held on by 3M double sided tape. The sills don't really stick up because the tape has a foam core that conforms to the grooves, we've checked and they don't hit the doors. The sills are pretty thin, much thinner than the MOMO universal ones, and I know those don't have any clearance issues, and none of our test cars had issues either with these sills. And yes, the price is for all 4 pieces.

Not sure, maybe body color or something along the lines of my rims.

I may get some in the future.

What about the fact that the decals on the insert looked like crap and my friend scratced with his fingernail. Even if they came in perfect condition I would have sent them back because in week or two they would have been messed up. Come on! $95! When I could get a shortshifter for $68! or something else much better. The price chould at least be lowered its outrageous. And also the only reason it couldn't be any thicker is because of the thick 3 pieces of tape on the back. They must something better for $95. Like some adhesive that covers the whole back and peels off.

Re: Re: Re: WARNING!!

The decals were what everyone wanted, and if you had gotten a perfect set, they wouldn't have looked like crap. And they're not as delicate as you think. We've been selling these for a long time now, and they don't get messed up in 1-2 weeks. We've also tried using the adhesive that just peels off, that stuff won't hold the inserts on. You need the thickness on the tape. What you spend your money on is your business, if you have a problem with the price, call Greg, I don't set his prices.

For all you I30's out there: Infiniti of Scottsdale sells the OEM polished aluminum sills that come right off the 99 I30 LIMITED for $98 shipped, for all 4. Its the whole sill, not just the metal plate that says infiniti, so you have to tell them what color your interior is so the plastic will match. Just pop the old ones out and the new ones go right in, no double sided tape or any of that crap. I'm going to buy them pretty soon and ill have some pictures available when i get them in.
