Infiniti G35 Coupe Vs 6spd Max

You 6speeders Automobile Mag tested the G35C in its latest issue and its times are very similiar to yours by Mag standards. It tested 0-60 in 6.0,1/4 mile was 14.6 sec @ 98mph, very similiar to times recently posted by C&D on the 6spd Max, 6.0 to 60, 1/4 mile 14.7 time at 97 mph. 0-100 was 15.1 for G35 and 15.7 for the Max, should be a good run for 6spds!

Yep I agree...but the G35 should be faster, just for the sake that it is a RWD. Which will definitely help with launches...I think personally that the G35 should be about .2 faster if not more just for the reason that it is RWD.

You gotta love Nissan for the G35 Coupe. It is a stunning looker that most find much better looking than the 350Z. No matter what the numbers vs. maxima, there is no side stepping the fact that the Coupe is RWD, handles much better, and will no doubt be more fun to drive.

Even C&D's prelim review of the 350Z was luke warm while their prelim review of the Coupe was like "YOWZA YOWZA YOWZA!"

I wonder how the aftermarket will take to the G35?

it will take to the Z before the G35c the same way they took to the max and not the I30.

I was figuring the same. Maybe it will be like how the Maxima parts for the most part went on fine to the I30, so the G35 people can try crossing them over to their cars.

what magazines and manufacturer never seem to post are what makes HUGE differences in times. Altitude, humidity and temperature. Full gas tank or not, fat man or anorexic dwarf? That would throw those 0.2 sec's off WAY more!

14.6? for a coupe 6spd? i think it's way faster than that
didn't motor trend get like 14.6 with the g35 auto sedan? in the battle against the 330 and cts

also, it's weird how it took half a sec to get from 98-100mph?
14.6 @ 98mph

15.1 0-100mph

and for the max it took 15.7 from 0-100 mph?? that's a whole sec to get from 97-100mph

i think something's wrong. or maybe i jus dont understand

G35 sedan could use some improvement. Infact for 2003.5, it looses the silly rectangle patch in back.

The G35 Coupe rear looks awesome in my opinion. 350Z rear looks good too. I'm not feeling the 350z front fascia though. I wonder if you could do a G35 Coupe front bumper conversion...

The G35 just flat out looks better than the Z in my opinion. It looks a little more elegant, I can't really describe it. Even with differences being minor, the Z to me looks like it'd come with front-mounted ion cannons from an alien manufacturer, possibly filling up the crap-eating grin. I don't really like the rears of either that much, but prefer the G35s.

The coupes should be able to run mid 14s I'd think. Needless to say a more fun car to drive than the max. If only I had the skrilla...

so everyone thinks mid 14s is good for the g35c 6spd? hmmm....guess i was expecting too much out of it...i was thinking low 14s, more like 14 flat...i mean some 2k2 6spd max here have done 14.2-14.3 stock. can the weight of the g35c effect it that much...and also mid 14 is wat hte new accord coupe is making
