Price of installation for all of these components...

Hey,

As some of you know, I have had a Y-pipe, B-pipe, Greddy Catback, and an RT-cat sitting in the closet of the guest bedroom at my house for sometime. I'm ready to have my entire exhaust changed out, and for some spunk to be installed. I was wondering what a reasonable price to pay for all of these components to be installed at once would be? I assume a muffler/exhaust shop could take care of all these pieces, and any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

BTW, I'm in South Florida if that helps, 33428.

i was in a shop the other day and some guy walked in and asked how much it was to install his exhaust he just bought and they said probably $60 cash which isn't bad. i'd expect anything from 90-200. i guess it really depends on the place... why not do it yourself instead and save?

If you can get all of that installed for under a hundred bucks I'd be suprised. I'd say it would run you about $100-120.

Bring it down to matrix racing they can do it for you, I believe I sent a max girl down to them to have her springs installed. They seem to have done a great job! Or you can install this yourself with some buddies.. I think I have all the install how to's on the site..

I was quoted at 250 to install y and cat-back. They quoted me that much, because I wasn't going to purchase it from them! If i did buy it from them, they would have charged me 100-125. bummer!

A performance muffler shop will probably charge between $120-200 depending on where you are, and how good a job they do.

Took about 3 hours to do mine a few weeks ago. But then I had a lot of custom cutting and welding done. Was worth it though. My exhaust is totally centered and on tight. No shaking or rattling at all, even when I go over big bumps.

Find a shop with good references. You might pay a little more but it's worth the piece of mind.

Good luck.

Exactly, I completely agree. I will overpay so long as the work is done 100% efficient, and I will have no problems. I really don't trust myself to do this kind of install. I'm fine with the systems and neons, electrical stuff, but engine work, not my department. I appreciate all of the feedback, and Luke, I'll definetly check into that Matrix shop. Thanks again for all of the replies, I'll let you all know how much I ended up getting it for.
