2.5' or 3' RT Cat?

I am gonna be overhauling my entire exhaust system. I am planning on a WarpSpeed Y-Pip and Greddy Cat Back. My question concerns the cat. I went to Random Technologies website and they have a 2.5' and 3' cat. With the set up I am planning (WarpSpeed Y and Greddy CatBack) which Cat should I be ordering? Thnaks in advance for any help.

Well the Y-pipe will be 2.5" and the cat back will be 2.5". Which do you think?

If you plan on boosting sometime in the future, 3." If not, then stick with 2.5"

Do NOT get the 3" cat if you're getting an off-the-shelf cat-back exhaust. What will end up happening is the flow out of the 3" cat outlet will *slam* into the flange of the cat-back piping since it's only 2.5". The flow will be worse than going with the 2.5" cat. By the way, the 3" and 2.5" cats use identical bodies, it's only the inlet and outlet piping that's different. Flow inside both is the same, so match the piping to your cat-back to preserve the flow.

I am waiting on my WSP Y-cat-B. The Y and cat will be 2.5" and the B will be 2.25". My thoughts were that the .25" change in diameter will not cause a huge flow problem. Do you think I'll run into problems like the ones stated above? The stock is 2" diameter right? Or is it less than that.

Thanks buddy. I guess I'll go with, WarpSpeed Y (2.5' I believe), RT Cat (2.5') and Greddy or Apexi Cat Back, are both of those CatBacks 2.5'?

Guess that means I just need to find out the size of the Greddy and I can start ordering my brand new exhaust set up. Oh man! I can't wait for this!

The greddy is 2.5". If you plan on getting the warpspeed Y then don't get too excited. I've been waiting over a month, which is short compared to others.

You will like the 2.5" plumbing! I have it on my Max & it hauls. Since I drive on the freeway 80% of the time, that mod comes in really handy when passing "slow" cars that just squat on the passing lane.
