I might just have to get this one also i always wanted to get the VI but no there isn't much stopping me. Also does it come with all the parts needed to install it? Just wondering does it come with the same cover as the one that nigel has on his VI. I really like that Intake manifold cover looks real good on the max. Brian

It's weird, 8 years after the car was introduced and 2 generations later, the 4th gen Max is having a surge in performance. People at racetracks and on the highways all across the country are going to start wondering how the heck "that old Maxima" just walked them.

Does it have EVERY part necessary for the install, I got a guy here who has installed them before and is willing to do it with me. If I call Courtesy and order will they supply me everything or will we need to get some other stuff?

If the offer is right, but I don't need to sell it and wouldn't mind keeping it.

Hehe I just realized I called you "Brain." I hope you don't sell it, even though that seems somewhat cynical, because you've been here forever and your car looks sweeter everytime I see it. Not to mention faster.

Yeah MEVI would just about finish it off. I already change the suspension to be more comfy, I think I'm going to redo the exhaust to make it quieter, then it could be a suitable daily driver, if I dont blow any more engines or trannies.

Now the ME VI will be like a exhaust type mod. A common mod. maxima.org 4th gens will have 220Ponies too like the 5th gens.

so have we established that all the required parts for the install come with the VI kit? I haven't seen a response when people ask....or do you have to buy extra parts to finish it?

There should be 6 butterfly valves, 12 bolts for the 6 valves, the valve rod, the rod "bearing", the vacuum actuator, actuator arm/lever, VIM lid, VIM lid gasket, ~8 bolts for VIM lid, VIM manifold gasket (appears to be the same as stock). I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Then you'll need the MAP switch, RPM switch, vacuum tank, an inline fuse, and vacuum line.
