Who uses Yokohama ES100 tires?
Who uses Yokohama ES100 tires?
this is the tire that I plan on getting for the price range and I was just wanting some feedback from ppl who uses them. How do you like them? any word about noise, wear, performance?
I have them and I think they are pretty good. For their price their grip is pretty good and its wet traction is very good. I do think that despite their claims of having a stronger sidewall, mine is too soft and leads to the feeling of more body roll during hard cornering.
This is all I can think of as of right now, but I do like my ES100's. IF you have any other questions pm me or something.

I've had mine on for about a month. I love them. I put on 225/50-16 on stock alloys. I replaced the stock Toyo's. Wet grip is excellent, dry grip is much better. I rarely ever hear my tires on hard acceleration. Corners can be taken much faster with lots less tire noise. For the price, I think you will be happy.
I have very stringent requirements on tires and usually am pretty harsh on ratings. I also usually will take tires that make so much noise I can't here my radio for the little extra bit of performance. I bought the ES100's after coming off of Nexus and used them for about 3/4 of the summer. They are no Nexus tire's but for the price they are pretty darn good. Their ride and noise levels are outstanding for the performance category they fall into. Their ultimate grip is also very high. Their precision and responsiveness in my opinion was compromised too much for ride quality. They have a touchy slip angle that may be a little large (I think, I get confused on that), but they are predicable, and will begin to squeal well before loss of traction occurs. They have wore fairly well so far considering their category and that they are Yoko's. The Kumho 712 is comparable, but I don't think it can match up to the Yoko's, I have never used them so I really can't speak for their performance. The Kumho MX's also look like some bad *** tires and I may try those next. The new Dunlop's are also supposed to be pretty good as well. I still think the ES 100's are the best out there for anywhere near the price. Better tires can be had, but at much higher prices. They are also rated very high on tirerack.com. I would definitely recommend them.
