Just got left front strut replaced under warranty on my 2K2 kinda long..

I've had my H&Rs on for 3,000 miles with the stock struts. About a month ago I started hearing a creaking noise coming from the steering when turning left. Then after going over some crappy roads in my area there was a clunking noise coming from the front left strut. I finally decided to take my car to a local Nissan dealer in the Chicago land area that I did not buy my car from. They said that I had a bad strut bearing and would order parts for me at no charge under warranty. A week later the parts came in I told the service writer about the noises that the strut was making. I dropped the car off and 2 hours latter he calls me back. The car is done we replaced the strut bearing and the left front strut. He said that they couldn't figure out why it was making noises so they replaced it. I drove the car home, it was all good no more creaking, and the ride wasn't as bouncy. I am happy with the way Nissan paid for everything. They did not mention anything about the H&Rs and I wasn't about to say anything about it. I'm not sure if the H&Rs caused the strut and bearing to go bad because the ride was so bouncy. At this point I am just happy that I Nissan fixed my car. With all the little things that annoy me with my car this definitely made me feel better about it.

It's always nice to hear about the good things Service departments do.
