I got the energy suspension polyurethane bushings today (yes saturday by fedex) and the control arm bushings are big as *****. I mean they are freakin HUGE. Probably 2"x 3" for the rear control arm mount. You know what this means. I bet the rubber things that are in there now deflect a HUGE amount, so it contributes a TON to my wheel hop problem. I should have the car back on the road within a week and I hope the wheel hop goes away and the handling gets better. After this, only SFCs (+ coilovers) are left for all the handling mods.

 

where'd u get them from?

 

www.suspension.com they did not have the endlink bushings, I'm gonna try to get those thru Jegs or Summit.

I got the endlink bushings and front sway bar (20mm by the way) from www.Courtesyparts.com

 

I'm tryin to avoid them for now since they F'd me over on the variable intake.

 

Eric...do you have to press those in? How about getting out of the control arm?

 

I have not put them on yet, but I talked to jdmmax and he said that the hardest part was getting the stock bushings out. It seems like only a handful of people on here actually did their own control arm bushing install. I'm gonna try a combination of pressing, 2 jaw pullers, dremel and torches to get it out. He then told me that getting the things in is very easy. It looks that way too, but you know how that goes......I will let everybody know of course what happens.

 

I just had mine installed in a shop...what the guy there did was he kept drilling holes into the rubber part of the front control arm bushing till the metal sleeve in the center fell out. The metal outer sleeve is alot easier to take out after that.
