installing new speedometer cable on 85

installing new speedometer cable on 85

Can you disconnect the cable from the dash side without taking apart the dash. I cannot get my hand up far enough to even feel where the cable connects.

You would have to take apart the dash unit to successfully get to the Speedometer cable there is no other way. Get a Haynes it states how. I have an fsm if my comp is up tonight Ill try to give directions and email them to you.

I now have the dash apart and I think I can get it now. Just a bunch of screws and pulling off all the wires to the switches. Thanks.
