Need opinions on Body Kit parts to create/sell...

EDIT EDIT EDIT:

Just looky here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=224489

ORIGINAL POST:

Ok, after a lot of defunct Body Kit attempts, i'm going to actually PAY FOR MY OWN CUSTOM BODY KIT. Then i'll post it here and see if my sponsor is interested in mass producing. All my investment is for the benefit of maxima.org

I will post my progress on creating a new body kit for the maxima. Yes it's going to be the R33 style but with less rice and more class. Why? Because I like it and i'm putting MY OWN money in creating this kit. Of course me wanting to be of great use to the .org, I will try and put together a kit that should sell around $600. No exact price because all flamers of course might have to pay a lil extra

The kits will be fiberglass. Why? Because of course urethane is better, but it costs around $10-12k to get the molding machine...that is why $TILLEN charges around $700 for an ADD-ON "aero" kit.

I'll keep all of you posted, my car goes into the project phase as soon as all parts are acquired. The following are ideas that i have based on contributions. Please take credit for a few of these pics whosever they are.

Front Bumper:

The R33 style from a sentra on bodykits.org is what i hope the front to be like http://www.bodykits.org/products/images/BKO-0035-1.jpg

Which is the same style that was photoshopped by one of our .org members here http://images.cardomain.com/installs...482_2_full.jpg

And Maximazero here http://images.cardomain.com/installs...482_3_full.jpg not sure if Maximazero did both of those, or if gtr_rider did that first Maxima one...

We can discuss later what to do with the 4th gen turn signals once we have the initial 8-10

Rear Bumper:

I bid for this rear also on bodykits.org: http://www.bodykits.org/products/images/BKO-0152-2.jpg it seems close to our own rears but with the rear valences similar to ionicdynamic's.

Side Skirts: I'm pretty much going for a kit that looks like the one in the very first picture in this post. I think that style is a bit classier than others and lacking a lot in the rice department, therefore it's my style of choice.

I am accepting feedback on everyone's choice for rear bumper/valences and side skirts

UPDATE 12/25: I think I'm also interested in making a Black Widow Adaptation for the 4th gen. But I can't go anywhere until I have the rear bumper and side skirts to match those fronts.

FREE body kit if you help with this: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=173203

i love that front kit, makes the car look a lot more sporty...if i had the dough for a kit, i would want to go for something like that....but i prefer a back kit like the sarona...so far i haven't seen anything better to my liking than the sarona back

Ok, I was taking the sarona rear into consideration but hopefully making one in better quality, and a better fit. We'll try to stock up on these kits as there have been a lot of 4th gen Maxima drivers (non .org) that have asked me if they make kits and have the money to buy them (mostly kids with jobs but little expenses). So there's at least a small market there. Who knows, maybe we'll try pulling GD specials on this. All will be clearer once we have the initial kit installed and pictures of it.

Thanks, i already got in writing what my investment is going to be and it's not so bad. It's a custom kit we're getting done so it's pretty much being handled by my sponsor and all of his connections.

Any objections to a Sarona-like rear bumper? Sarona-like side skirts?

Also, anyone willing to donate/sell a used/damaged/unwanted Sarona rear bumper or used/unwanted but in good condition side skirts?

Current Skyline type kit...

Photoshopped pic of what i want and has been already done on a few other cars like 200SX, etc..

Big difference, no?

I don't think you mention the word "free" anywhere. I'll take a front bumper for free

Yeah, I didn't see anything about free in your original post. I like free. It's my second favorite "F" word. Tell me more about this free concept you have in mind.

I wish the project could come along a lot more quickly. The shop is just waiting for my car to start the molding process for the front.

There is a chance we'll make a Black Widow adaptation as well as the R33, but my sponsor doesn't want to start the whole process without being able to make a whole kit.

I personally would like the Black Widow front because it's a little higher off the ground, hence less scraping...

I would still like the Sarona side skirts and rear to mold off of...

UPDATE:

After much thought about it, I decided on a few new things and wanted to throw them out in the open.

It seems now I have a few choices because one of the molders my sponsor works with has created a couple very flexible (one of them urethane) kits that I have yet to see because that guy is on vacation. I heard by way of a little bird that it is a more subtle version of the Black Widow kit. The other kit (the urethane one) is most likely an aero kit like the Stillen kit (but not confirmed). So that's choice #1.

Choice #2, keep the front bumper that I have photochopped... mold a Stillen side skirt clone and add some type of styling to it... and make a mold of the rear bumper with the Stillen rear valences connected as to have a final single fiberglass rear bumper.

The rear bumper is still a toss up. Nobody responded to need for the Sarona side skirts and rear bumper no matter how much I b!tched about it. So now I'm open to ANY suggestions (non-rice) on the back bumper.

I posted this info on my Bomz CAI GD as well: EVO kit, it's for a Focus but it's being sold by my sponsor. Notice the low price (which should be around $350 with no reserve currently). He takes a dive on profits, seriously. I don't let him read everything here because he'd be afraid of the .org as a place for parts to sell, but I have faith in this place... sometimes...

i would like to add that the stillen side skirts are nasty. they are almost the same size as the panel it covers and has no shape. they don't make the car look any lower.

i like the way the S-TYPE side skirts look. a little bigger than the stillen one. nice and clean with the cuts in the rear part.

so far the sarona rear looks best.

i wish you luck on your new kit, can't wait to see it.

Wow, thanks for the support. I'd like the Black Widow and others to make it for the Max, but in a way I don't want it turning into the Accord.
