BOMZ 95-99 MAXIMA CAI ---check it out

Hey Guys.

I just contact a website name www.directcarparts.net today, they told me that they are going to have the cold air intake for the 95-99 Maxima (4th Generation) , and made by BOMZ RACING. Since many of our club members had been purchase stuffs from them, they are willing to give us a special deal -----$89.69 with Free Shipping. (Normal price: $129 + S/H)

They said that they going have the CAI in about 3 weeks, so the first 50 buyers can get them for $89.69 including Shipping and Handle fee. All we need to do to get the special price is put in the special code when we are placing the order from their site. The special code is ( MAXORG ). Enter the code b4 you enter your payment info page, and you will be able to verify the discount price in the final review page.

Also, please email them if you need to reserve one of the CAI for the 4th Gen (also w/ the code when you email).

Thanks.
Ps. I already reserve one of it already ...haha

I think that they will not have it until mid-Dec , you can pre-order it now and they won't charge your credit card until they get the shippment.

I'm a little optomistic about giving this company my credit card number, has anyone ever delt with them before (other than the person who started this thread)?? Any other info to go along with this product would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you guys were smart, you guys would look at all of his post. It's obvious he works for the company. He's just trying to advertise amd disguise it as a GD. He's just promoting his company. In other words, he's too cheap to pay for advertising. Or is not man enough to come out and let everyone know that he works for the company.

Seems like amixam98 having a problem with me, may be there is a misunderstanding. I brought 3 times from this company, I have a very good experinece with them. I got my order fast , that why I like this company(also low prices). Thats the reason I like to talk about this company in here. That would be great if this company pay me commission , but , sorry , I am not work for them.

Seems like everyone is so friendly here but u , amixam98

What's so fishy about this thread? Just because they don't post about how long it takes to install and how to install? Because they don't post dyno charts or estimated HP gains? Because the price is lower than PR and Injen... by a lot? Let me just share some info with you guys. I've been a Maxima.org member for a few years now and I was in your shoes when I first joined up. Now that I own my own store I share the best of both worlds. It was my idea to make a new bodykit for the 4th gen which you guys know as the Type-S kit or Skyline kit. I have also prototyped 3 other bodykits for maximas. One more for 4th Gens, 2 for the 5th gen, and one for the 3rd Gens. But I'm not going to develope any of these due to critics on the org. People always complain about how expensive things are for the maxima but when a new company tries to step up and make something new and affordable the org shuts them out immediately. Thats why no one wants to make stuff for the maxima. The manufacturers think there's no demand for their products because they don't know people want them. Then when someone tells them about the org and they see how people shut companies out they don't want to make anything. A couple of months ago I spoke with Tom from Bomz Racing and asked him to make a CAI for the maxima... I didn't really think he was gonna do it. I thought it would be good to have an affordable CAi with substancial power gains, but I see how it is.

I guess we owe you a lot. On behalf of the members of Maxima.org, I THANK YOU for all the advancements and contributions you have made to the Maxima community. In fact, you are so under appreciated and unrecognized here on the ORG, perhaps you should move on to undertake an advancement project for, the Echo community, or possibly the Tercel community, where you'll be much more appreciated and won't have to put up with the likes of "the org people".

(Just for your edification, I've been here for 3 and a half years, so you are definitely not in my shoes)

But on a more serious note...Only one person blatantly accused this company of producing a false, nonexistent product. If you post a thread like this on a public forum board, and there is no "regular associative text" to go along with the product, here or on their own website, it is going to raise suspicion. As consumers we have a right, almost a duty, to question and gain assurance that things are not scams before we just go giving our credit card numbers to companies or websites that nobody has ever heard of. I think the only person being unreasonable on this thread is YOU!

I better stay off from this thread...
--------
Anyway, I completely agree with you on the part about giving credit card numbers that nobody has ever heard off...

that's why I did a little bit of research...
I called Directcarparts.net up and talked to Angus of Directcarparts.net.
He told me they have a pretty good relation with Bomz Racing and started selling their products on eBay quite a while ago with the username <directcarparts_net> and had about 9000+ (99.8%) positive feedback. About two months ago, they decided to started their own website directcarparts.net.

He told me they had a lot of sales of strut bars from the maxima.org, and when one of the members called him up asking about a CAI, he told that member to tell everybody about the deal. I also asked him why he didn't put up an ad and support our .org, his reply was their graphic designer is doing to ad right now and will be posting advertisement in several message boards very soon. He said he would consider my suggestion of giving us site-wide discounts.

I asked him how secure their server is (I was going to order my CAI through the phone), and he told me that they use a 128-bit SSL-certified encrypted server (provided by their ISP) and if I still don't trust them with my credit-card number, I can always use PayPal.

BTW, if that CAI is a scam, they're pretty dumb then... I would download a picture and sell the Injen CAI instead of that $90 CAI.

email them at info@directcarpats.net

From the new picture (of the real thing), doesn't look like I have to cut anything.

Can't wait to get my Bomz CAI

So so true...I'm still working on another 4th gen kit, but no thanks to the cannibals out here. See that's the thing with Civics, all of their owners think that all their mods are "cool" some are not but a manufacturer first makes "rice" headlights and tails so everyone that wants to be "cool" buys them. From then, there's a machine shop entrepreneur(sp) that says "hey, these civic guys really mean business and have cash in hand no mater what it is they're buying...i'll make headers for the civic...and maybe intake..and how about cams and, oh i know! body kits!" That's how it works...maybe you need a few lower quality products to jumpstart a mod revolution. I see Bomz doing that everyday because my car club is indirectly sponsored by them (car club prez actually uses his wholesale license to get us cheap stuff). I have the Bomz FSTB and it's a dream on my old stock suspension and worn out tires.

Now, although I have my Injen, I PERSONALLY helped with the install of a Bomz CAI unit on a last gen Integra. The piping is hella small, but comparing the pieces to the picture of the Maxima kit, the pipes are bigger and it is nearly a clone of Injen's RDI. The pipes look a little smaller than Injens, and the Bomz filter is a wimp...but i bet it fits snugly. No dynos, but the Integra is modified and when we race he usually ends up with his front bumper at my rear bumper. Now he's at where my front door meets my back door. Good improvement for the $89 + SH or whatever. My Injen gained me about a car...this bomz at half the price gave the integra 1/2 a car. Makes sense doesn't it. I know this isn't the best example, but it's not like $300+ headers that give you 1HP gain.

You get what you pay for, but after personally driving the Integra, my review is that the Bomz is QUIETER than the AEM he had.

++++ stars performance for the price... ++.5 stars overall (i'm swayed by my bias towards Injen)

I'd gladly put together a GD for these at maybe a lower price than what this guy is showing us, but i'll have to think about it considering the .org's general uncarenthusiast (my new word) behavior

MaxximumTuning, I wonder what would've happened if these guys would've been the head of NASA in the 50's-60's. No rockets to the moon because we need a dyno first, and maybe some track times Where would we be without guys like you or Nigel or Ian or Jose or many others that I don't know about that spend their time and money on an UNPROFITABLE MARKET?

So as far as gain...I still don't know what the exact gain on my Injen is other than that it says 14HP on the box, but i don't care if it's less. I have faith...and it gives my car some mo' soul, brotha!

PUBLIC NOTICE: All maxima owners should buy gen2 carbon fiber altezza lighte because with a huge response, someone might use their urethane molding machine to make actual urethane bodykits for 4th gens.

I should be receiving this BOMZ Racing CAI tommorrow. I will have a complete install procedure with pictures once I have time to put in on. I will also have a dyno for it after I go down to PA in a few weeks. I will dyno my max ('97 Auto) first with the Stillen Intake, Unorthodox Racing UDP, Warpspeed Y-Pipe, and 2.5" catback. Then I will put on the Bomz CAI for the second dyno. After that, we will Dyno my friend's max ('97 5-speed) stock. Then again with the Bomz CAI.

i'll wager $2,000 ............... in monopoly money ....... on a 6-8HP gain on the stock 97, and maybe at the most 8-11 with the exhaust mods.

Watch it do better than the Injen...i'll max out my credit card with these and bless maxima owners with VQ asthma for Christmas!

Not really, but I would actually pressure my sponsor to sell them here for dirt cheap.

has anyone received the cai yet?
im looking at the picture of it and it looks similar to the cattman or pr cai, which requires cutting. the injen style has a curved midpipe, so it angles down toward the radiator.
