changing fuel injector harness
changing fuel injector harness
hey how long will it take to change all six injector harnesses? I noticed that the spark plug no. 2's injector harness seems to be right under the intake manifold? How can that one be gotten to? If I am not wrong? 89 max SE
how should the splice in harness be connected to the OEM existing wires? Soldering, shrink wrap, barrel connector? Matt has told me in regards to splicing a new harness for the MAF to use solder not a connector, because of resistance factors. But what about the injectors, are they sensitive to resistance? Let me know need some help?

front harness is plug and play....
buy 2 new harnesses. replace the front (straightforward). The rears you will have to splice in and i would suggest using solder. As far as the #2 connector goes i got in there with some pliers and worked it off carefully...also it was suggested to me to use contact cleaner spray and then some dielectric grease on them before reinstalling

chris I want to change the rear harness for the fuel injector leads, but I have been given various model no.s for the rear harness. some that I have been given are (24079-42e25)for 26.78, another was (24011-85e00) fro 360.00. Does anyone have the correct model no? I have already changed the fronts just a plug-and play!! So, that was done!!

this one (24079-42e25) is wrong which was in the same series of the one i was set incorrectly. That harness caused me nothing but a headache. Anway i'm not sure about the other 2 BUT the rear is not plug and play. All of the connectors are the same so what i did was buy a 2nd Front harness and cut the connectors off of that one and spliced them in. Good luck
