my thread was cut short due to server problems, but I have a stock 2003 Maxima auto and wonder what it will run in the 1/4 mile

Stock times are roughly 14.7-15.2 @ 91-93mph for the 02-03 autos.

 

14.7 or 15.3 is that with the 255hp for the 03?

 

Yes, 02-03's are both rated at 255HP, and the automatics will run anywhere between 14.7-15.2 stock. Depends on driver, track, weather, etc.

 

if i outran a 2k2 with exhaust with just my home made intake and exhaust was his car slow or is mine fast. his was auto so all he has to do is floor it and we were going at a roll it was a fair start.

 

4th Gen 5spd's can put down identical 1/4 mile traps AND speeds. If you have more mods then I believe it.

what does your car run at the track?? I have a video of me racing a 4th gen 5spd w/ intake and y pipe and pulled on him pretty hard on a roll. Matt

 

i dont really consider it a race car, so i dont run it at the track, im saving the track time for my real race car when im done building it -pete

 

I here that and have the same thoughts but..... its still fun beating half the cars that think there race cars at the track. Matt

My first time at the track I was embarassed and a little scared. I had a kid in a early to mid 80's supra that said laughingly, "are you gonna run that car"? (I had the child seat in the back) I didn't say anything. Much to my shigrin, I got to race him. I was 5 car lengths on him before his car broke down about a 1/8th mile down the track.
