JL Audio VR600CX Coaxials

Would these fit my doors in a 2k1 Max? On JL's website it says they fit most Japanese cars.

How can a 5 1/4" and 6 1/2" fit the same hole without modification? Crutchfield says both sizes fit.

Crutchfield offers a bracket that screws into the factory 6 1/2 holes then more holes are offset about 1 1/4 inch farther down, therefore leaving a 5 1/4" hole left to mount the smaller speaker.
