Those wheels are copy of my friend's 350Z. His are 18" though.

Are those 17" or 18" rims?

I believed (correctly) that the 6th gen would be a boat, and that's exactly what it is. Absolutely no offense to anyone taking a liking to it. I just feel the 5th gen is already at the limit of size to still have some sport left in it. It's very obvious that it's gonna be a larger alty.

I can relax now...

There is a sticky specifically for posting on the 6th Gen Maxima in this forum that has existed for some time...just FYI.

snap up them 03's

I agree, it ain't horrible, but the 03 looks better to me. Especially for the price. Snap em up while they're still available.

Too me it looks realitively the same size as the 5th gen. Maybe a tad bigger. It does look like a stretched Z. But has the looks more of an Altima, IMO. I'm not too crazy about it. Hell you can't even see the front-end, I'll have to see that first as well before I say I totally like it or hate it.

Kevin, why don't you post a link to the place where the picture came from so we can verify that it's legit. I would think that it would be on Nissan/Infinit News website by now, but it's not.

It will be interesting to see how this car is

priced versus the Altima and G35...certainly the G35 is a much cleaner design and RWD.

I'm not too thrilled with what I see but then again, thought the same of the g35 until I saw one in the flesh so....witholding my comments for now save one, the rear looks rather tacky (no pun intended) with that mini-spoiler looking like it was 'tacked' on...

I was at a dealer yesterday and they confirmed that the next Maxima will be a larger Altima. When I asked for specifics on how it will look he pointed to an Altima and said 'like that only bigger'.

I am glad I bought my 03 instead of waiting for the new 04. The rear end is short and ugly. A few inches shorter would make it look
like the back of a VW Beetle.

It might be a good idea to hold out for a 2003 closout deal late next year. I think I may do that....

I dont care what you guys say. Everyone on this site hates change. I love it and think its a step forward. Look at what BMW is doing, they are stepping forward. There radical new designs are turning heads. Nissan is trying to make there line up more uniform, and I'm loving it. I'd suspect you can expect a Sentra and Pathfinder make over in like 2k5 or 2k6

Sorry to break the wave. I think the car is elegant. What I have always liked about the Maxima, particularly since the 4th gen, is it's spacious interior, and it's mix of luxioury and power combined with a manual transmission.

I would have to see it with some PHAT wheels to really make a call. As of now, it just looks like a Bloated Alty... If I wanted an Alty , I would have bought one !!!!

is it just me or did they curve the back like a sentra and put the 745 spoiler on it. Anyway, my car resell value has fallen probably 4000 now that a pic of 2004 came out. so I wonder How low can it go?

Makes me happy I did not wait for it to come out. It looks just like an Altima with an *** end I do not like too much. I hope Nissan makes this Altima Copy faster..... Maybe when I see it I will feel differently....I liked the Z much more in person

Hate to say it, but I kind of like it too, but not enough to dump my 02.
