Question- why are you wrapping it? I DO NOT recommend wrapping your Y pipe, especially if you're in an area that snows and gets salted or a coastal area. My Y pipe after only a few months developed shallow rust (even though its stainless) because it was wrapped. I saw almost no benefit to doing it as well. Save yourself the trouble and don't do it.

 

No... but life would be much easier if it were off. I guess it'll depend which is more difficult for you to do...

Now to anwser your question old school emax, no you do not have to remove the Y-Pipe to wrap it you idiot! lol..


Eric, I had it wraped for a year and there was no rust..

 

n e 1 else get rust after they wrapped a stainless pipe? that's weird ...
