HI EVERYONE,


I HOPING SOMEONE MIGHT HELP ME. I HAVE A 2003 MAXIMA SE AUTO, LEATHER, HEATED SEATS AND STEERING WHEEL, SUNROOF, TITANIUM EDITION, AND TRACTION CONTROL. I HAVE ALMOST 2800 MILES AND EVER SINCE I GOT IT, I HAVE A POPPING SOUND FROM THE REAR AND FRONT WINDSHIELD. IT HAPPENS WHEN IT FALLS BELOW 30 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND DRIVING OVER 5 MPH. IT A CONSTANT NOISE THAT IS REALLY STARTING TO MAKE ME WANT TO PULL MY HAIR OUT IF IT WASN’T FOR THE RADIO. I HAVE A APPOINTMENT A THE DEALER NEXT WEEK AND I WAS WONDERING UNTIL THEN DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE NOISE AND DID ANYONE ELSE EVER HAVE THIS PROBLEM? THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME.

I have the same thing, although I'm not sure if I have it from the back as well, but definitely the front windshield makes the noise. I don't worry about it too much right now cause it's cold here in Boston as well, and panels/pillars/dash will squeek when it's cold because the material is expanding/contracting. If this continues when it gets warmer, then I'll think about taking it in to the dealer.

I hope you weren't expecting the car to be completely silent! Every car will have some squeeks and popping sounds, especially when it's really cold out.

 

some peeps with 2k3 pathfinders are complaining of this too. I dont know the cause tho.
