This concerns the CAI. At first I heard that you lose low end torque once the CAI is installed. Then I heard it improves low end torque. What do I actually get?

The CAI increases throttle response and midrange torque. Basically from that we know that it can improve 2000-4000rpm torque. The cooler intake temps alone are worth the extra 3% or however much power in the lowend over the SI/JWT. All I can say is it dynoed alot in my car, you might not get as much power but you should notice a difference.
