Mounting Pioneer DEH840MP headunit to 5th gen dash
Mounting Pioneer DEH840MP headunit to 5th gen dash
There is a little piece of trim that comes with the headunit. The shop that installed my H/U could not put it on. Also, there is a slight gap, you could put a finger between the sliding faceplate and the dash. Are they sh**ting me?
The shop says thats there is no other way to eliminate that ugly gap and put that trim piece on. My car is a 2000 GXE that came with Am/Fm/tape unit from the factory, and I dont think my install guys (Best Buy) used any dash kits. Had anyone installed the same unit "flush" in the 5th gen dash?
