Vitek LSD for Auto and 5spd. (95-99 only)

Finally got it put on our site so you can order directly from there. Price is still $750 + $250 refundable core charge. The system bills you at $1000 because of the core charge, then after return of the core, we refund $250 to you. So the price isn't $1K.

Not a sale or a GB, this is the special price for maxima.org. Retail is $1180.

It's usually billed at around 12 hours for most shops.

Damm so that's like another grand.

You think that a local mechanic could be trusted with this install or should I just same up some more money and take it to the dealership?

??? on SE-R 6spd

Don't all the Sentra SE-R 6 spds come with HLSD?
If so, what's the advantage of swapping?

Yes, all Sentra SE-R's come w/ HLSD's I think. This one is just more performance oriented, that's all.

I don't think the SE-R's and Maximas share trannies. They both have HLSD's available, but I do not think they are the same tranny. I do know that the Sentra SE-R and the new '03 Hyundai Tiburon V6 6 spd. share the same differential. We developed the LSD for the Sentra SE-R and then learned that it did fit the Tiburon also.

Hmm, I'll have to check tranny part numbers to see if this is true. If it is, then hey we have the LSD for the '02+ 6 spd maximas too.

SCC had an article about the best < $20K cars and pointed out that the Tiburon and SE-R couls use the same HLSD diff. They listed the Nissan part number and price at around $550 or so.
I'm pretty sure that the part's the same for 5th gen 6 speeds. I'm trying to track a source link.
