95-96 And 97-99 Taillights

Are the 95-96 taillights interchangable with the 97-99 taillights? I hate the way 96 look so I was hoping to switch with one of the newer taillights or buy a pair of the LED taillights only for 97-99. They look the same shape so I assume the should fit...anyone know? Thanks

BEfore you get yelled at for not searching first....

You'd need a new trunk lid. The "outside" pieces will fit your current car, but the 97-99 "inner" pieces are not the same size. If you need to know more try doing a search for "97 rear conversion"

Why do you hate the way the 95/96 look? Oh well anyway the only way to interchange them is to do body work. Sorry. If you're that upset go buy a 97-99.

Those are hot tails! Look like M3's....got any photos with the LED's? You can find some pics of the lights on ebay but I really want to see them on a car...

gen II carbon fiber altezzas ... looks good on some cars ... personally i don't like altezzas, red/clears always give a maxima a clean and classic look ... if you have a 95-96 then those won't work on your car without a little wiring changes because the gen II are only available for 97-99
