Ppl made it seem like a joke, and its no challenge 4 the max?

Well AUTO 4th gen max is like 15.8 16 on avg...
That is runnin very similar times to a 98 accord v6. Y r ppl like "U WILL SMOKE HIM HARDDDDDD MAN" etc etc?

Their r even grand am v6s, and sunfireGT 5spds that can run similar times 15.9 16. So if a maxima beats a HONDUH prelude, gsr or whatever, u embrassed him, cuz their kinda overrated in the import scene. What would u feel if a grand am GT could hang with u, and run very close times?

Hell I have a ****ty 98 v6 malibu, 185torq, 155hp, it runs like 16.5...

A buddy I know has a 95 auto, he thought he had me soo bad, I was right on his *** the whole time, I didnt win, but he was still surprised I was only bout a car back...

5spd wise they r fast. They owned all cars in their league since like the 3rd 4th generation ones. But now the 02 03 ones, the accord kinda surpassed ya, it has a 5spd auto and nav and 4 the bout the same price as a max. The maxima should of added navigation and offered 5spd auto, hopefully they will for 04.

That thread was about who would win between an Auto Max and a 4cyl Accord, not V6 Accord. and yes, a 4cyl Accord cannot hang with an auto max, the same way a V6 Accord can't hang with a 5spd Max.
So do you think that a BMW is overrated because a Maxima can hang with it or even beat it?

 

I'll tell ya what. You get a new accord auto and I'll take my slow 2k2 auto max and we'll race for titles. I'm not into the name calling, but put up or shut up is a good modo.

 

Bimmers r kinda overrated, to the UNKNOWN eye, its like one of the fastest in the world or something. However they r very refined and all, but they r not as fast as most ppl think, therefore they r overrated. Even the lastest 330RWD runs about a 14.7, the AWD one is like a 14.4. All the other mid 90 bimmers r somewhere in the 15s.. They r decent times, no doubt, but the public makes it seem like its a 13second car or something...

Y compare 4banger accord to v6 maxima?
compare v6 auto accord to auto v6 maxima, they r VERY SIMILAR in times...

the reason maxima was faster throughout all this time is not cuz of its ungodly power really. Its cuz stupid honduh didnt make a 5spd for the v6 accord, otherwise the accord is jus as good. Camry did make a 5spd, but was quite rare.

Also stop dissin ricer CIVIKS , i hate em too, but the civic SI(USA) or SIR(Canada) is about a mid high 15 car, 160hp. It can hang if not even beat a AUTO 3rd 4thgen maximas yoo....

I love maxes, but jus dun be biased with em ppl...

here's my input. i know for a fact that my 99 auto max will beat my girlfriend's 2000 accord v6 in a race from a stop. it might not be by much tho. maybe from a roll the AV6 is better. both great cars by the way.

i'm sure ur malibu will not be on my ***. i have 99 auto pretty much stock except for a cone intake. but even without the intake, i'm pretty sure u'll be nowhere near me

y compare old & AUTO vs new & manual? compare stick vs stick since it's available. besides, a civic and max are totally different class.

Your Malibu ran 16.5s and you were on your buddy's 95 auto a$$ the whole time? Sorry, but there got to something seriously wrong with your friend's car. Stock 4th gen autos usually run about 15.8s to 16.0, somewhere around there.

I run a 16.5 at 85 and I hang with my friends 4th gen with intake. But then again, my 60' was a 2.5 so I basically a 16.0-16.1 if I could launch

 

Well all righty then. The maxima would be faster regardless. If the accord did have a 5spd it would put down the same amount of whp as a 93+ VTEC prelude. Also consider that the accord is 200-250lbs heavier than a prelude is. Tell me how a car that has the same power as a prelude but weighs 200lbs more than the lude/max can beat it? A 5spd accord would be good for low-mid 15s @ 90-91mph. Again no better than a prelude and saddled with more weight it will be slower. Here is the proof below.
