NEW Ionic Dynamics wing for 2000+ Maximas/4th gen optional is now available :)

Hi guys!

I have a new spoiler available for the 2000+ Maxima, here is a link to the pics on my site http://www.ionicdynamics.com/2000winggallery.html

They are made out of high quality fiberglass, the wing is molded into one piece, not like other wings that you have to screw the posts into them.

There will be special pricing for org members.

Thanks!

Looks good! Did it come prepainted? Looks a little lighter than car in the pics...

Does it go into the preexisting holes in the SE models. Because if I have an SE and take that spoiler off i wouldn’t be able to put this one on.

That looks awesome.. i love touring wing styles.

Quick question, with a lot of wings, there are going to be flex, and what happened to a lot of guys with touring wings is taht the ends would flap at highway speeds.

THe result is that the rear quarter panels ended up getting damaged. Judging by the pictures, i can see that its very close to the quarter panel. WIll the flex cause damage?

Re: nice!

Thanks guys for the nice compliments !

I also wanted to add that we also have available clear brake LED's

190hpKiLLA: This spoiler will fit over the inner OEM posts on 4th gen maximas, we are making some covers for the outer holes, they will have a small design to make them look interesting. I will have that setup on my 98 maxima very soon.

Stillnmax: I will have to measure them side by side, I'm sure that it's at least twice as high than the stock wing.

MiniRX7: I'm glad that you brought this up, I had the same concern and asked my designer/manufacturer about this. They told me that due to it's one piece construction and the thickness of the wing, there shouldn't be any flexing at all.

Y2KSESteve: I'm sorry but that seems to be the case for the moment. I wanted to make two different wings for the 4t and 5th gen, but the problem here was the fact that the 5th gen max that I have available is a GXE that didn't come with an OEM spoiler, so I didn't have anything to be able to locate the stock holes.

MaxDoogie: The maxima.org price will be less than $245.00, this is an excellent price. I would like to stress that this wing is high quality in and out. There are several ways to make a wing and I chose the more expensive/better quality and fit process. And not only that, we sand and prime every piece to eliminate any imperfections saving you time and money during the installation and paint process.

Thanks Supa Lao, MaxDoogie, gtr_rider, Stillnmax, kramerica72, MiniRX7 and metallic97gxe for all of your kind words, I'm really glad that most if not everyone likes the wing.

Regards!

Looks beautiful~! Just wondering, im assuming it uses the stock brake light.....can i order the clear brake light from you? I will buy a wing...but im still stuck with the APC one..and im gonna repaint my car soon..so no use getting one now. Please e-mail me if you can sell the clear brakelight seperate, and if it will bolt into factory location.

Thanks

Are you guys working on the 4th gen Type 2 wing? Nevermind...I just reread the thread. It will fit 4th gen except you are going to make some sort of cover for the outer holes.

I would love to see some pics of a whole 5th gen with this wing. It's really hard to get a feeling for the wing with out a full view.

Here is another link with two more pics. The firs one was when we were getting the wing installed and were testing the holes that had been drilled, I'm sorry but this is the only full vantage view pic of the car that I have for now. The second pic is a side view of the car.

http://www.ionicdynamics.com/2000extrapic.html

chinaonnitrous1: We use an aftermarket LED light and I am unsure if they will fit the OEM lights.

maximilion: I didn't get your PM.

Kashoggio: I'm also anxious to see how it will finally look on the 4th gen, I just need to organize my schedule so I can get it done this week.

ny96max: I'm glad that you like my wing, but I'm sure that you are also very happy with your type II wing, congrats!

djPlayboy: That's great! I'm going to start a GD on these this weekend, by then I should have all of my dollars and cents figured out, I want to be able to offer the lowest price possible.

bags533: Thanks! I used to have those cars that you have in your sig

Take care guys!

Ionic does it again!

Good job dude... that touring wing should look awesome on a 4th gen, but a lowered one with a kit though.

I added one more item to my Summer Wish List

This will be next on my list after I get my Stillen kit painted.

Will there be some sort of plugs for the outter holes which will not be used and will be visible? or will you be adding additional posts there?

Very nice wing!!

No worries about the wholes, i have Sterling mist which is the most popular colour..

I am sure there are some GXE/GLE owners that will love to trade trunks with SE owners for the Spoiler..

I would consider this wing once i lower my car and get rims

ionicmax - I will be repairing my car soon so coming across your spoiler is good timing. What is the final price with clear LED lens to org members? Can you include shipping to 96720? I need to order a new trunk lid so if you could get back to me ASAP I can know to order a non-SE one if they come with predrilled holes.

Thanks!!

Hi guys!

Nismo: I'll have one set aside for you with your name on it

max002: Thanks!

araffio: What I have been thinking about making is a patch that cover up the stock holes, it will follow the shape of the OEM post. I'm thinking it should have two raised strips that run down them (like the R 33 grill), this will give the appearance that it was added for cosmetic reasons and not just a patch. Fortunately the patch will be located in a very low key part of the trunk that is not so visible and obvious.

De Max: The price will be lower than that. I have been trying to get some lower prices on some of the materials and components used so I can pass the savings to you and the other org members.

jiggity1226: I'll have to look into this, I'm afraid that they will be damaged during the shipping.

MiniRX7: That's a good idea !

maximilion: You've got mail!

Thanks!

Not a bad idea. You're right about it not being in a very noticable area. I think that sounds like a good way to solve the problem.

that is such a great looking wing - perfect balance of sportyness and not too extreme(like those crappy aluminum wings)
