Went to the track

Went to the first test & tune of 2003. It was 47 degrees which is pretty rare in Miami, so figured it was a good time to go. I didn't beat my best time.

First run was against a 90-91 Mustang GT. He ran a 14.8 @ 94mph, I ran 15.38 @ 89mph

Second run was against an old Dodge Dart. He ran a 15.45 @ 88mph, I ran a 15.99 @ 90mph. I had a horrendous launch, spinning and hopping through first gear.

third run was against a C5 'vette on laughing gas. He ran a 12.2 @ 125mph. I ran a 15.6 at 90.78 (personal best trap speed).

My buddy was able to get his 91 'vette to run 13.1

im curious as to what your 60' times were...

with intake only, same as you, my traps were a bit higher, but my 60' times were really bad...

yeah most of my 60's were 2.4
i had some bad ones at 2.69 and stuff...hehe
just roasted the tires

i think your traps are a bit low for 5spd's
it may be because of weather conditions tho, cause when i went, the weather was cool, and i was hitting 94's and 95 was the highest.
but my best time was only a 15.08 cause of my crappy launches.

Get those 60's down to something decent and you are in the 14s.

Realistically, with just an intake and a perfect launch. What's the best 60' that is possible?

Realistically 2.15 or so... I know of two 5spd owners who have run 2.0 60' times on street tires. Two out of about 10,000 on this message board. 2.0's possible but unless the hand of god is pushing you you aren't going to see a 2.0 on regular tires.
