I would think the Max would edge a win, but I don't have any experience in racing a prelude. Don't Preludes do something like low 15's stock? Not sure how much gains an intake and a cacing pulley would give.

Although, I would think a hiway roll would be a close race.

Anyone else with comments?

'ludes have pretty good engines (better with mod's), but they are VERY heavy cars.

From a highway roll in third gear, my buddy's '99 stock 5 speed Lude pulled on my modded '00 5 speed ever so slightly. All we did was get to a dead even roll and hammer the gas at the same time. It was close, but he pulled on me (no nitrous, of course).

At the track, I ran better times by about .5 seconds.

Having had experience with both cars, I'd say that the 2k3 auto should beat the Lude but it'll be close and the Lude may trap about 1-2mph faster than the Max. Presumably, the auto Max SE should run between 14.6 - 14.9.

BTW, what kind of pulleys does the Lude have?? Accessory, Crank or both?? Is the intake Short Ram or CAI??

my girlfriend and I raced a prelude in her siverado 2500HD a couple weeks ago. we beat it. nothin like 6.0 litres of torque to ruin a 4 bangers day! the truck is quick tho, but if we beat the prelude in that, you'll definatly take it in your max

ive beat a couple down in new orleans, one was a 98 auto(got him by at least 3 cars) the other was a modded 98 5spd, intake, headers and full exaust... i only got him by about 3 ft, his front bumper was at my door.
