Has anyone replaced the suspension on their 97 SE? How much did it cost?

Re: Re: Labor cost for replaciing suspension

I plan to buy the parts online. So far, front and rear costs $280. I called a few dealers and autoshops to see what they charge for labor. everyone is going off those 'chiltons' manual based on estimated hours. This is where they can rape you if you don't know about cars. I wanted to see if anyone has done it and how long of a job I can expect. They say the rear struts can be a 3 hour job. Are they lying? Are they over exagerrating? I need to know before I hand over the keys and credit cards to these guys.

What kind of stuff are you installing? Then we can tell you labor. Usually they run 65-70 dollars an hour.
