i've got an excelon head unit. can't remember model offhand, it's the second highest model, i think it's x811. anyways, i found someone with a used remote for a kenwood receiver for sale. will that be compatible? mine disappeared awhile back and this one's pretty cheap. are all the remotes compatible to any kenwood head unit?

 

I'm not sure of the answer to this, but I've got an x811 and a x859. If you don't get an answer I can try it when I get home tonight. PM me if you need me too.

That one will not work with the x859. I will get you the model # of the one that will. Also, please get me the model # of the other radio.

Is it the credit card style remote that you are after? If so, I may have one that I can sell you fairly cheap.
