Revelations in the snow. Rear Brakes locking up..

First off, let me say that 235/40 18's SUCK in the snow. Bald tires have more traction. It does make driving a little fun though.

OK, here is my problem. On a completely snow packed street, when I apply the brakes very gently, the REAR tires lock up and make the car swing right around. What's up with that? Even with light brake application, thre rear gets loose. Punch the brakes hard...forgettaboutit!! 360's everytime!

Anybody else experience this?

I'd say it's time to change out your pad hardware and grease them really good. I did this last summer.
