First time at the track with the Maxima

Well, this is the first time at the track with my month old 03' SE 6-speed. A Frankencar is my only mod.

I ran a 14.45 @ 96.87 with, get this junk, a 2.3 60' lol, I couldn't get the launch to stick in this thing to save my life

Oh well, all in all, I am fairly happy. If I could actually get a decent 60' I might make a decent time

Good run. With a better launch & a Y pipe, you'll be running 13s

I was at Gainesville speedway For the better part of the day, my car was faster than all the blown and boosted imports.

The big block domestics ruled the day, but there weren't too many imports even getting in the 14's.

Well, the day I was there, it was 15 to run as much as you want, or 5 to just watch. They are testing out a new import only thing soon, it will be run on the weeknights, and I believe that they are having wide open test and tunes for the next two Saturdays. You should definitely try and make it out there, I am sure your auto will easily beat out a bunch of imports there

Nice runs! A 2.3 60' isnt that bad at all. I rarely break 2.4s. Stupid auto.

this is ot.. but whats the 60 foot time of a tt supra with about 440 hp to the wheels and 400tq? my friend syas he cant break a 2.2 which i thought was pretty bad, but he says because its rwd he cant launch it as good as he'd like. he sa the best time heard of is 2.02.

The Supra has an independent rear suspension, which while is great for handling, isn't the best for drag racing. I am pretty sure I have seen/heard of Supras running less than a 2.0-but they were on slicks. Radials, I am not to sure about.
