I believe the 300ZX wheels are 5 bolt, whereas the ones on the 2nd gen Max are 4 bolt, so they won't work.

The 84-85 non-turbo z31 wheels are 4-lug...

Traditionally, the offsets are different. I haven't tried it my self, but I have heard of, and seen, some 2nd gens running the 4-lug z31 wheels, and heard no speacers, etc... were needed. Now, the question is, why are you looking to replace the wheels? The NA z31 wheels are only like 1/4" wider, but still a 15", so you're not really going to gain anything from them. If you're getting them for tires, the tires are a diff size, and they will throw off the speedo, as well as alter your milage - albiet slightly.

Now, not on the cheap...I'm looking at a similar option...guy here has an 86 z31 sitting in his back yard, with a seized engine...they are going to part it out...

i'm looking at buying the wheels/tires (new tires just before engine died!), and maybe the seats, if they match color wise, and are in decent shape - mine are worn pretty good...
