Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I'm not sure how many of you live in the NE, but the salty roads have really made my car FILTHY. So yesterday I got my 03 handwashed (been under 20 degrees most of the time) for 10bux and I almost forgot how GREAT this car looks! Damn, spring just can't get here soon enough!

Re: Ahhhhhhhhhhh

same here... I live in NH and couldn't stand it any more so I brought it to one of the "powerwash it yourself" places and spent about $6 spraying, hand washing, rinsing because the timer kept running out while I was washing and rinsing.

It's not as clean as it is in the summer, but it's also -10 with windchill so I didn't spend an hour on it.

Damn I thought cleaning my max in freezing weather was bad, but it's nothing compared to -10.

I was doing awesome until last Friday. I kept me 95 eagle talon as a beater (awesome having a turbo as a beater ), I was keeping my '03 nice a clean.

Then this past Friday I got side swiped by an 18 wheeler trying to merge into my lane. I had just gone through tolls going onto the NE extension of the PA turnpike.

Worst part is the truck driver lied about the whole thing, said I hit her. I kinda figured that would be the case before I even got out of the car. No one stopped to witness, not even give their name.

So it could be worse than salt...

At least I wasn't in the max. I actually like the talon more than my max (it's a lot faster than the max) but it would suck having that sort of damage to a new car. At least I got almost 8 years and 130 k on the talon. It's all sheet metal damage, no frame damage from what I can see so I'll just get it fixed and move on.

I hear ya too!

I had the day off on Monday and washed my truck at the local "pay-n-spray" for 5 bucks. Froze my @ss off and when I got home (about 1 mile) you could not tell I washed it. Gotta love winter in Ohio...

Back on topic... Last night took the Max to one of those "brushless" washes and I am IMPRESSED! The car looks great except for the think layer of ice on the hood and trunk lid. I say it is worth 2 bucks more than what I spent on my truck. Have any of you used these places? I would rather handwash but at 10 degrees and a 20 mph wind it is not worth it.
