Tune-up/Spark Plugs

I just purchased a 2000 GLE. I was wondering where are the spark plugs. I looked everywhere under the hood & I couldn't locate them. If someone can tell me where to look, I would appreciate it.

I am going to try to be nice about this, but do you know anything about a car's engine. Like, at all?

Would you know what a plug wire looks like so you can follow it somewhere?

There located under the coil packs.. There are 3 under the valve cover. And another 3 behind the manifold.. Those are a ***** to get to unless you got the right tools

Just curious as to the mileage? I just replaced mine @ 42k mi. and it made a difference. 100k my as*! I started to notice a slight glitch in the idle which I could feel in the cabin. I almost thought it was a bad motor mount. Anyways, pulled the plugs, and they didn't look too bad. I thought I just wasted $75. It wasn't until I fired it up did the idle problem disappear and the car even pulls harder now. Oh, I just used the oem NGK plat's. Was looking for the iridums though...

Stinkin plugs are $75?!?!? Man, I buy NGKs for my cycles and they're like $3/ea. The "platinum" ones are that spendy? Where'd you get them? I'm assuming you put them in yourself as well...

Yeah man, at the $tealer. They were $11 a piece. Came out to like $71 w/ tax. No other auto supply store had them in stock Install went smooth, except I recommend a magnetic rod for the 10mm bolts that hold the coils for the back three. DONT DROP THEM! PITA
