got a prob with my 3rd gen..

the speedo isnt working properly... it goes on and off all the time... now its mostly off... what the hell is wrong with it? it happened a few years ago but i changed the whole dashboard and it fixed it for a few months but now it doesnt work again.. do u think its the dashboard or the speed sensor? lemme know

Hmmmmm.....

mine used to be like that about a year ago, and I never got it fixed, BUT for the last year its worked like a charm! if you didn't change the sensor the first time than I bet thats the prob, but naybe the actual needle aparatus is broken. Thats what happen in my dads old Caravan, but he never fixed that either, I guess that just runs in my family!

possibly a loose

connection on the back of the speedo gauge? if you lookbehind it and don't find anything wrong, it'll be easier just to pick up a new one form the junkyard and replace it.

the one i have now is from a junkyard... i dont think its the connection though... guess i will have to look at it anyway...

definately don't go to a nissan dealer for it...i tried that once..hehe...$297.34 (or close to that) for the speedo assembly...bullsh!t!!

definitely check your speed sensor before spending any money.. the speed sensor is very common to fail, and it acts like that when it's dying.
it's also MUCH cheaper than the $200 gauge assembly.
