If you actually click on the link it shows a picture of the headers/y-pipe combo that fits 02+ Maximas and Altimas. You have to call for pricing.

OMG I love the looks of that thing. I have avoided getting a Y pipe hoping this would come along. I would think pre-cat removal would readly increase power and a y pipe is proven to help. Any one know how big a 2nd mortgage Stllen will be making me get?

Anybody call on these yet? Anyone know if they are available in stainless? Cattman, get off your butt and get some made. I'll take a Cattman header over a Stillen anyday.

Are there any header/y-pipe combos like this available for us 3.0 peeps?? I was reading on vqpower and a while back on custommaxima.com that there was a header/ypipe combo like this coming out for the 2k-2k1 cars...anyone know anything about this??

If that header can fit a 2K, 3.0VQ Engine, no way I'm getting a new car anytime soon. Even if it's upwards of a grand, I'd jump on it ASAP. I love my y-pipe, Intake combo from stealing. Definitely a best bang for the buck winner.

They have a header and dp for the 4cyl 02 Altima that is like 600. I wouldn't be surprised to see a g tho.

This looks very interesting, although I wish people would stop posting that they would be willing to pay huge sums of money for this.

Won't that thing throw SES lights because the second set of O2's aren't after any pre-cats/cat?

If someone is creative enough... a twin turbo setup could be made by modifying the headers. I'm picturing how everything will route... two T3 turbos with internal wastegates... the exhaust goes to the turbine and exits out to a 90 degree section back to the header. The piping for the compressed air meets under the tranny, which goes through the driver's side frame of the car to the intercooer, back through the passenger's side frame, up along the A/C compressor and alternator, across the valvecover, and up to the throttle body.

There's the idea, now someone follow through. If I didn't have a turbo already, I would try this.

I think you guys are getting a little too excited about the acutal "header" part. I belive that the gains that will be seen are still only comming from the "y" section. I'm waiting for Emax to chime in. I think he was the one that put those australian headers on his 3L VQ and saw a 1hp increse or something. I know Don in texas also ported the 3L headers and saw no increase even though they could flow much better.

I guess the 3.5 could be more restrictive since its pumping more air, but I'd demand a dyno chart from stillen. Unless that set up is worth 20hp......FORGET IT!

Hey KL99SEA, that's what the Y-Pipe does, remove the pre-cats, a good Header's design should give few hp ( 15-25 hp ), I dont think the NZ manifold where near a good Header's design. I know Cattman is supposed to release a Y-Pipe /Header combo, cant wait to see, euh I mean cant wait to buy.

Cheers

obx has a header out for the 3.0. if you look down towards the bottom of the page. i hope that link works, if not its on obxracingsports.com. i heard very little gains were picked up freer flowing headers so ive stayed away from them so far. the list is 499 but im sure one could find it cheaper.

I thought on the 02's and 03's The current ypipes started after the precats?????? Is this true or does the Warpspeed ypipe remove them?
I thought it left them and started after.

that is true. 4th gen, it removed two, 2k-2k1 it removed one and 2k2-2k3 it doesnt remove any. blubyu2k2 has the warpspeed and the precats are in tact.

Yep Cattman has some already available for the 00-01 folks. Some huge gains from what I hear and look a hell of a lot nicer than the cheap Stillen ones. Here go check it out:
http://www.cattman.com
He's working on the 02-03 models. As for the Stillen being beautiful, perhaps whomever said that has been looking at REALLY cheap headers since I think the Stillens look cheap and chintzy as all hell.

"Not yet available"

I just got off the phone with Stillen. They had no further info other than it's still in development. The wait continues...

Sillen Headers

I spoke with a Stillen sales rep several times last week and they are claiming 30 horse increase out of the header race y-pipe combo (yes the ceramic ones pictured) for the 3.5 L engine...02-03...They should be available within 30-45 days. Price is guestimated to be around the $500 to $700 range. You can get on a list to be called upon release, but no ordering yet I was told. I tried to get a y-pipe from cattman for my 02, but due to some confusion we'll say, it didn't work out. So now, I just said, "Why not wait for the headers?" They look tight and should be schweet. I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there who have added headers already to 3.0 L engines...what can be said about adding headers to that engine...or if anyone has headers on the 3.5 L what is that like? Also...anyone know of a supercharger out for the 3.5L yet?pics

The price will be around $550 ish give or take a few. The gain will be 30whp. A 2k2 alti 3.5 dynoed at 205hp at the wheels and hit 235 after the headers. That was a hotshot prototype, the stillen unit will yeild similat results if they ever come out.

There is a GD for these from southwest automotive and I didn't know that these are already in peoples hands. Since there are other headers currently being produced/developed people wanted to wait to see when the other headers come out.
Let us know how it is.

I think you might be the first. Considering how old this thread is, you may want to start a new thread especially if you want to include pics.
