I'm installing the greddy type S BOV tomorrow and I was wondering how everyone plugged the hole on the pancake filter that connects to the bosch bypass valve? I tried auto zone for a plug to put in it, but they didnt have any that size, I think its an inch dia. Thanks for any help.

 

I just did my install and used a cap from a bottle of Power Steering Fluid and siliconed it around the top...nice toight fit and holds very snug...you will actually be fine without a plug for a while but Chunger made a couple suggestions like find a large cork at a craft store, just make sure is is beveled to stop up the hole without falling in.

Go back to Autozone and ask for or look for bypass caps. They should have boxes of 2 and only 2 sizes, get the bigger sized pair of the 2. One will fit over the black port on the filter (oil breather hose) and the other one will go plug the hole for the clear plastic port (bypass valve hose). This is what I used and only had to pay about $2 a pair, works perfectly. Email me if you need pics.

i got this rubber plug thingy from pep boys on my way home ill stop by pep boys to get the name of the part i used i used it fit perfectly.
