What up Max'ers. I have a seller that wants to gauge group deal interest in sets of genuine Italian leather shifter and emergency brake boots. This seller is willing to make us these boots if we show enough interest. The leather boots are available in many assorted colors and many colors for stitching. You choose which color leather and color stitching combinations you want for your custom look. They can provide black or white leather and any color stitching you want in the shortest amount of time. Other color leather like tan, burgundy and other colors are more like special orders and usually takes more time.

Currently, 4th Gen. models are only available with the brake boot. The seller needs a brake boot template for the 3rd & 5th Gen. model. I know, I know, I’ll push them to get these templates as soon as they can. Anyone have a spare brake boot I can send the seller to use as a template?

The price starts at $50 shipped for shift & brake boot set, $30 for brake boot. Then, drops to per group of 10. Here their line-up:
10 people knocks it to $48 shift & brake boot set, $29/brake boot
20 people - $46 set, $28 shift & brake boot brake boot
30 people - $44 set, $27 shift & brake boot brake boot
40 people - $42 set, $26 shift & brake boot brake boot
50 people and above - $40 shift & brake boot set, $25 brake boot

Once the order is in, it should take about two – three weeks for delivery. Payment will be accepted through PayPal and money orders/cashiers checks. Don’t send any money now, let’s see how many people are interested first. The cut off for signing up for this group deal is Feb 28. Hopefully by them, we’ll have enough numbers to get the lowest price and that he will go ahead with the orders. So lets get rid of that vinyl boot crap out of our ride and MAX UP our interiors.

I contacted the company and asked them why the boots weren't available for Maximas. Once again, we are ignored by the MAN! (MANufacturers) He told me that they were in the works and I offered to get the word out if we could get a group deal.

They are offering a very good deal if we can get the 50+ people we need. And with various colored leather and custom colored stitching, PLEASE, this deal is SWEEEEEEEET!!!!! I imagine most will keep it simple like black leather with stitching matching the car's exterior color. But, you know how we do. Somebody is going to roll with the yellow leather, I just know it. But with seven leather colors (white, yellow, burgundy, blue, beige and tan) and close to eighty stitch color, some will loose their minds.

As my girls say, "This sucks the big one." I just received an email from the supplier. He tells me that one of the moderators of Maxima.org had spoken to them in the past about a group deal. The seller feel obligated to this moderator and has canceled my group deal with his company. I was told that the org member wanted to handle all the traffic of seller's product on the site.

So, I guess somewhere another leather boot deal will appear on the site at some point and time.

I'm sorry about the confusion regarding this, I have made previous arrangements with one of the moderators on here and in spite of those I started to figure out a GB with Brockster. That happened purely by mistake, I was developing too many products at the same time and got confused as to with whom I'm working with on the Maxima product line.

Anyway, I promised Brockster a set at a great price and he's free to take me up on that offer whenever he wants. I do hope that's a fair enough offer for his time and effort in posting this.

Guys, the GB IS GOING TO HAPPEN. You will hear from the other person I'm working with VERY SOON and I'll send some preliminary pictures of what the boots look like (not installed yet, but on my table or carpet) tomorrow, hopefully.

My best friend's family's main car is a Maxima (4th gen) and it's a great car! Kudos to all of you who get to own one.

this for the 3rd and 4th generations. For the 3rd gen, only the shift boot is available at present though. Before the GB actually sets off (later this month) we will most probably have a design for a 3rd gen shift boot also.

The 5th gens will come in just a bit later.

I want everyone to be happy with the final product in fit and finish that's why it's taking a little time. I've been working with Maciek for some time to get everything together. currently there's only 4th gen shift and ebrake boot and 3rd gen shift boot in development. 5th gen boots and brake boot will be in development shortly. Also the 3rd gen ebrake boot is also in development. stay tuned...i've noticed interest in the past and i've posted that i'm working on a set up for you guys. at the same time i didn't want to make people wait on a GD when we're not ready to ship.

time to save up for the boots...i'll post info on them once i have them set up. pics will also be available and also a small clip on installation instructions for those who would need them.

Also part of the proceeds from the sale of this will go to the server upgrade...so it's doing good things for us as a community as well.

 

Can you guys customize a boot for those of us with short throw shifters which have additionally been cut? I need a rather short & stubby boot for my shifter.

Just as DanNY said, it can be either trimmed down or made taller. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY EXTRA CHARGE FOR THIS!

Hi guys,

here are some pics. The first one shows the 3rd-gen shift boot, the second one - the 4th gen boots (gray thread).

There is a smudge on the 3rd gen shift boot, but it's just the special pencil we use to draw on leather and it washes off with a damp cloth very easily.

All boots have special sleeves at the bottom which will allow you to slide the metal rings, taken out of your original boots, into the sleeve and thus mount the boots.

These pics DO NOT do the products justice. My digital camera is way old (like 3 years now I think), the lighting was terrible and the carpet in my Z was dirty when I took the pics. All this takes away from how they really look, and they DO look SWEET.

These have already shipped to DanNY and he'll be posting more pics after they are installed.

Can you install a thread so I can thread my MOMO **** onto your boot?

 

Hi,

the leather boot doesn't have thread by itself. It mounts to your shifter using the original equipment (but I do recommend forgetting about the original metal ring that came on top of the boot and just using a ZIP-tie). Then the shift **** screws onto the shifter shaft.

Not sure if that's all correct for the Maxima, but that's how it's usually designed.

Anyway SeaMAX, maybe you could send a sample piece of your interior to Maciek so he can see how close in color he can get to your red interior. Or better yet, get enough leather from your custom interior maker and send that to Maciek to use for your new boots. That's if Maciek thinks this is a go idea.

Momo short anatomic...looks good huh =) You can find it for an average price of $40. It makes a killer combo with a real leather boot

 

I'm not that concern about the red leather totally matching my interior as long as it's a bright red and not burgundy. Can you post a of the type/color of red leather you carry. If it's close enough then I'm ready to order.

I'd definitely be in for one if they were to work with the Momo E-brake handles. I know that Momo only makes the e-brake boots in black and I have a beige/blonde interior. I know someone else already posted about this, but just wanted to reinforce the interest in this. This is for a 2K.
